Week 2: Introduction

My Story

If you're reading this... I'm probably eating...

Or I'm planning my next trip! I'm always ready to jet off to travel the world, see sights, have monumental adventures, and experience different cultures. This all happens of course as I eat my way through these countries, tasting all of the finest cuisines the world has to offer me.

My name is Jary Kim, and I'm from Seoul, South Korea! Although my family and I have lived in Florida for more than 10 years, Seoul is definitely my favorite city in the world and also, home. The city is my playground and I have a blast going back for summers and seeing my extended family and friends.

As a student at the University of Florida, my major is in Advertising, However, with my strong love for travel, I am also highly interested in international business. Therefore, with a minor in business, I will also apply for the combined Masters of International Business Program, offered at UF, beginning graduate classes at the beginning of my senior year, along with my undergraduate coursework. This will still enable me to graduate within four years, in May 2017. I hope to be employed abroad in Seoul, or in New York City after graduation. 

With a high interest in the changing nature of the account and operations management process in companies due to globalization's and innovation's (i.e. social media for digital) profound impact on advertising, I aim to achieve a career in the digital and media aspect of marketing and/or advertising with a focus on account planning and creative strategy. In my pursuit of an International Business degree, I would like to work with global firms, and would experience work internationally.
